Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

A 5-year-old kindergarten student lives with her parents and younger sister and dreams of becoming a teacher. Her father is a day labourer and the family’s sole earner, but his irregular income is insufficient to cover basic needs and medical expenses. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach at Kutupalong and sought support when she developed dengue with acute watery diarrhoea, vomiting, poor fluid intake, and weakness. Without timely treatment, she could develop severe dehydration, bleeding, shock, or organ complications, which may become life-threatening.

Prognosis

According to the doctor, hospital admission with close monitoring, fever and symptom management, nutritional support, laboratory investigations, and supportive care is essential for Tanisha’s safe recovery. With timely treatment, her fever, diarrhea, vomiting, and weakness are expected to improve while maintaining proper hydration and preventing complications. If left untreated, dengue with acute watery diarrhea may lead to severe dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, bleeding, dangerously low blood pressure, shock, and organ dysfunction. In severe cases, these complications can become life-threatening, making careful monitoring and timely treatment essential.
