Md. Moaz Khan is an 8-year-old calm and intelligent boy who enjoys drawing and dreams of becoming a teacher. He lives with his parents and younger sister in fragile conditions, while his father is the sole earner, working as a day laborer and earning only around USD 49 per month, making it difficult to afford Moaz’s medical treatment. He has suffered from throat pain, enlarged tonsils and adenoids, difficulty swallowing, recurrent fever, and sleep apnea for the past year, despite previous treatment. Without proper treatment, his breathing problems during sleep may worsen and continue to affect his daily life and well-being. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a community outreach program and is seeking support for his treatment.

Adenotonsillectomy is expected to relieve Moaz’s enlarged tonsils and adenoids, improving his breathing, swallowing, recurrent throat symptoms, and sleep apnea. With appropriate postoperative care, medication, and follow-up, he is expected to sleep and breathe more comfortably and return to normal daily activities. If left untreated, persistent enlargement may continue to cause sleep apnea, disturbed sleep, difficulty swallowing, recurrent infections, and breathing problems, which may affect his overall health and daily functioning. Timely surgery offers a good chance of significant symptomatic improvement and recovery.
