The father is retired and the mother is a house wife. They have been struggling financially. Hassana wishes to further her education but her health condition is a challenge at the moment. They use pit toilet, borehole water and have access to electricity. Family income is 20000. Among her siblings 2 of them are sickle cell patients. Hassana is a 19-year-old young woman who dreams of furthering her education. Living with sickle cell anaemia, she has suffered worsening right hip pain for the past two years. The pain has gradually affected her ability to walk, and she has been diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis of the right hip, requiring treatment. Haruna requires Right Hip Replacement.
Prognosis
Hassana a 19yo lady has right hip avascular necrosis secondary to sickle cell anaemia, requiring orthopedic evaluation, pain management, physiotherapy, and consideration of surgical intervention in advanced disease.
