Shahti Akter is a simple, caring, and hardworking mother who dreams of safely welcoming her second child and building a better future for her family. She lives with her husband, Md. Pabel, their young son, and her husband's family in a single room at her brother-in-law's house because they cannot afford a home of their own. Her husband earns only a small income as a welding laborer, which is barely enough to cover their daily expenses, making the cost of emergency surgery impossible for the family to afford. When Shahti developed severe oligohydramnios with a footling breech baby at 37 weeks of pregnancy, doctors warned that both her life and her unborn baby's life were in immediate danger. Following the surgery, Shahti Akter and her newborn baby gradually recovered under the careful supervision of the treating doctors and the regular follow-up care provided by the nursing staff. On 7 July 2026, she was discharged from the hospital in stable condition and safely returned home with her baby.
