Mst. Aklima Begum is a caring and hardworking 20-year-old mother who lives with her husband, two young daughters, and her elderly parents-in-law in a family of six, always putting her family's needs before her own. Her husband is the family's only earning member, working as an auto driver with a monthly income of approximately BDT 6,000, which is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities, leaving them unable to afford the cost of surgery, hospitalization, medicines, and diagnostic investigations. After learning about Helpster Charity through a health worker, the family sought assistance in the hope of relieving Aklima's severe pain and restoring her health. Despite exhausting their limited resources, they cannot continue her treatment without financial support. Without timely treatment, cholelithiasis with cholecystitis may progress to gallbladder infection, rupture, severe abdominal infection (sepsis), pancreatitis, and other life-threatening complications requiring emergency surgery.

The doctor expects laparoscopic cholecystectomy to relieve the patient’s symptoms by removing the diseased gallbladder and preventing recurrent gallstone-related problems. With appropriate postoperative care and follow-up, the patient is expected to recover well and gradually return to normal daily activities. If left untreated, the underlying gallbladder condition may cause recurrent severe pain and complications such as acute inflammation, infection, bile duct obstruction, or pancreatitis, which may require urgent treatment and could become serious.
