The four-member family depends entirely on her husband’s private tutoring income of approximately USD 65 per month, which is barely enough for their basic household needs and leaves them unable to afford the medical expenses associated with Amina’s pregnancy. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of Life Care Hospital and sought assistance to ensure Amina receives the necessary care. At 38 weeks of pregnancy, she has been diagnosed with moderate oligohydramnios, meaning the amniotic fluid around the baby is lower than normal, increasing the risk of complications. Without timely monitoring and appropriate obstetric management, the reduced fluid may cause umbilical cord compression, fetal distress, and serious complications during delivery, potentially endangering both mother and baby.

Amina Khatun was admitted to the hospital on 19/06/2026 at 38 weeks of pregnancy due to complications from severe oligohydramnios, which made normal delivery risky. Considering the potential complications, the doctors proceeded with a planned Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS). The surgery was successfully performed, and a healthy baby was delivered safely. Following the operation, Amina received appropriate post-operative care, including medications, antibiotics, intravenous (IV) fluids, and nutritional support. Both mother and baby remained stable and showed steady improvement during their hospital stay. Within a few days, Amina was able to move comfortably and care for her newborn. She was discharged from the hospital on 22/06/2026 in good health. According to the doctor, Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) is recommended to achieve a safe and timely delivery because of the severe oligohydramnios at 38 weeks. Timely delivery can reduce the risk of umbilical cord compression, fetal distress, and other complications associated with reduced amniotic fluid. With appropriate surgical and postoperative care, both mother and baby are expected to have a favorable outcome. If treatment is delayed, worsening oligohydramnios may increase the risk of fetal distress, complications during labor, and potentially serious or life-threatening outcomes for the baby.
