Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Md. Jubayed is a 5-year-old boy from a family of seven whose father, Rubel, is the sole earning member and works as a fisherman, earning only approximately USD 73–81 per month. With this limited income, the family struggles to cover food, education, and other basic household needs, leaving them unable to afford the cost of Jubayed’s medical treatment. He developed high fever and severe cough for eight days after previously being healthy, and his worsening condition led his mother to seek care at Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital, where he was diagnosed with typhoid and admitted for treatment. Without timely treatment, typhoid can worsen and lead to serious complications, including severe weakness, dehydration, and potentially life-threatening infection. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Abdur Rahman, allowing Jubayed to receive the medical care he needed.

Prognosis

Doctors have advised treatment with parenteral antibiotics along with supportive therapy to effectively control Md. Jubayed's typhoid infection. With timely and complete treatment, his fever will gradually subside, his strength will return, and he will be able to resume her studies and daily activities without long-term effects. Proper medical care will also prevent the infection from spreading and protect his vital organs. However, if left untreated, typhoid can lead to severe complications such as intestinal perforation, internal bleeding, bloodstream infection, and even become life-threatening. Early intervention is therefore essential to ensure her full recovery and safeguard her future health.
