Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Robiul Hossen is a hardworking and responsible 16-year-old boy who lives with his parents and four siblings, always helping his family despite having to give up his own education because of poverty. His father is the family's only earning member, working as a day laborer with irregular employment, and his limited income is barely enough to provide food and other basic necessities for the large family, leaving them unable to afford the cost of hospitalization, diagnostic tests, medicines, and ongoing treatment. After learning about Helpster Charity during a medical outreach program at Kutupalong, the family sought assistance in the hope of helping Robiul recover and regain his strength. Despite every effort, they have no savings and cannot continue his treatment without financial support. Without timely treatment, enteric fever may progress to severe dehydration, intestinal bleeding or perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multi-organ failure, and other life-threatening complications that could permanently affect his health or even result in death.

Prognosis

The recommended treatment is hospitalization with parenteral (intravenous) antibiotic therapy and supportive care to control the enteric fever, maintain hydration, relieve symptoms, and closely monitor for complications. With timely treatment, adequate nutrition, and regular medical follow-up, Robiul is expected to recover fully, regain his strength, and return to his normal daily activities. If left untreated, enteric fever may progress to severe dehydration, intestinal bleeding or perforation, bloodstream infection (sepsis), multi-organ failure, shock, and other life-threatening complications that could result in permanent disability or even death. Early hospitalization and appropriate antibiotic therapy are essential to ensure a safe recovery and prevent these serious complications.
