Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTERRoumari, KurigramHospital contacts
Background

Roksana is a caring 20-year-old homemaker who spends her days looking after her husband and elderly mother-in-law despite the family’s difficult financial situation. The three-member family depends entirely on her husband’s irregular day-labor work, which provides only about USD 49 per month, leaving them unable to afford the medical expenses required for her safe delivery. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a previous patient who had received support and sought assistance during this difficult time. At 36 weeks of pregnancy, Roksana has been diagnosed with transverse presentation, in which the baby lies sideways rather than head-down, making vaginal delivery unsafe in most cases. Without timely medical management and appropriate delivery planning, this condition may cause obstructed labor, umbilical cord prolapse, severe fetal distress, and potentially life-threatening complications for both mother and baby.

Prognosis

According to the doctor, Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) is recommended to achieve safe delivery because of the transverse fetal presentation and breaking of water (rupture of membranes). The family initially attempted a normal delivery at home, but the attempt was unsuccessful, so she was brought to the hospital for further management. Timely surgical delivery is essential to reduce the risks associated with the abnormal fetal position and ruptured membranes and to ensure a safer outcome for both mother and baby. If LUCS and appropriate obstetric care are delayed, complications such as umbilical cord prolapse, obstructed labor, infection, and potentially life-threatening risks to both the mother and baby may occur.
