Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Beauty Khatun is a 21-year-old mother living with her husband and 9-year-old son in a severely impoverished family, where her husband works as a mason’s helper and earns only BDT 7,000 (about USD 57) per month. Despite limited family support, Beauty remains dedicated to caring for her household and dreams of giving her unborn child a healthy start and better future. At more than 38 weeks of pregnancy, she developed prolonged labor pain lasting over 12 hours with no fetal movement for a day, and examination confirmed a breech-positioned fetus, making urgent hospital care and cesarean delivery necessary. Because of their financial hardship, the family could not arrange hospital care quickly, placing both mother and baby at serious risk of complications, including severe fetal distress and potentially life-threatening consequences. The family learned about Helpster Charity through Dr. Arif, a Helpster volunteer at RUDO Hospital, who helped them seek the urgent medical support Beauty needed.

Prognosis

LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) is expected to provide a safer and more controlled mode of delivery for Beauty and her baby, particularly because of the term breech presentation, prolonged labor, and reduced fetal movement. Timely intervention can reduce the risk of worsening fetal distress and serious maternal or fetal complications, giving both mother and baby the best possible chance of a safe outcome. If delivery is delayed, prolonged labor and breech presentation may lead to severe fetal distress, birth complications, maternal complications, and potentially life-threatening consequences for both mother and baby.
