Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Karima Akter Jannati is a 20-year-old woman who has been suffering from recurrent throat problems and hopes to regain her health through proper treatment. She lives with her husband, Md. Robiul Islam (Robin), who works as a day laborer and earns only approximately USD 59 per month, making it difficult for their three-member family to meet daily needs and afford medical expenses. The family learned about Helpster Charity through hospital staff member M. Masud Molla when Karima’s recurrent sore throat worsened with prolonged fever, painful and difficult swallowing, and loss of appetite. She was diagnosed with recurrent tonsillitis with an enlarged adenoid and advised to undergo adenotonsillectomy under general anesthesia. Without appropriate treatment, recurrent infection and enlarged adenoids may continue to cause significant throat and swallowing problems and can further affect her daily health and well-being.

Prognosis

According to the treating physician, adenotonsillectomy is recommended to remove the chronically enlarged and infected tonsils and adenoid tissue. With successful surgery and appropriate postoperative care, Karima is expected to have fewer recurrent throat infections, improved swallowing, reduced throat discomfort, and better overall daily functioning. If left untreated, recurrent tonsillitis and enlarged adenoids may continue to cause persistent throat pain, fever, swallowing difficulties, and reduced appetite, potentially affecting her general well-being. Timely treatment can help prevent recurrent symptoms and improve her quality of life.
