Rehana A., 30

Rehana Akter is a 30-year-old woman who lives with her husband, daughter, and elderly mother in a four-member family. Her husband, Rejaul Karim, works as a garment worker and earns only around USD 65 per month, making it difficult for the family to meet basic needs and afford the cost of her emergency delivery. At 37 weeks of pregnancy, Rehana developed lower abdominal pain and was found to have a breech presentation, making this a high-risk pregnancy. Without timely treatment, labor with a breech baby could lead to serious complications for both mother and baby. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana and is seeking support for her safe delivery.

LUCS (Lower Uterine Cesarean Section) is expected to provide a safer and controlled delivery for Rehana considering her 37-week pregnancy with breech presentation. With timely surgery, appropriate anesthesia, and postoperative monitoring, both mother and baby are expected to have a good chance of recovery without major delivery-related complications. If delivery is delayed or appropriate management is not provided, breech labor may increase the risk of fetal distress, birth injury, difficult delivery, and complications for the mother. Timely intervention is therefore important to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.
