Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

LIFE CARE HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTERRoumari, KurigramHospital contacts
Background

Rupiya Akter is a 23-year-old housewife who devotes herself to caring for her family despite their financial hardship. She lives with her husband, their 2-year-old son Rafi, and her elderly parents-in-law in a small tin-shed house with a mud floor. Her husband is the sole earning member and works as a day laborer, earning approximately USD 57 per month, which is barely enough to meet the needs of the five-member family and leaves little for medical expenses. At 39 weeks of pregnancy, Rupiya developed increasing weakness and general discomfort and was diagnosed with moderate oligohydramnios, requiring appropriate obstetric monitoring and management. Without timely care, reduced amniotic fluid may increase the risk of complications for both mother and baby. The family learned about Helpster Charity through a staff member of CSDK.

Prognosis

Doctors have advised a Lower Uterine Caesarean Section (LUCS) with supportive treatment to ensure the safe delivery of Rupiya Akter’s baby and protect both mother and child. With timely surgery and proper medical care, there is a strong chance of safe delivery and recovery for Rupiya. Treatment will help reduce the risks associated with severe oligohydramnios. If left untreated, complications such as fetal distress, umbilical cord compression, breathing problems at birth, prolonged or obstructed labor, and reduced oxygen supply to the baby may occur. These complications can become life-threatening for both mother and baby if timely medical intervention is not provided.
