Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Abu Sufian is a cheerful 6-year-old boy who loves playing with toy cars and dreams of becoming a doctor. He lives with his parents and 2-year-old younger sister in a four-member family without a permanent home, while his father, Abdur Rahman (27), is the sole earner, working as a day laborer and earning only about USD 49 per month. With this limited income and fragile living conditions, the family struggles to meet their daily needs and cannot afford the cost of Abu’s hospital treatment. Abu developed severe abdominal pain with loss of appetite, vomiting, constipation, and weakness and was admitted to New Evercare Hospital with acute abdomen, requiring IV fluids, antibiotics, pain management, and close medical observation; the family learned about Helpster Charity through a leaflet. Without timely medical evaluation and treatment, an acute abdominal condition may worsen and potentially lead to serious complications, including severe infection or other life-threatening deterioration.

Prognosis

Immediate hospitalization, NPO (nothing by mouth), thorough evaluation, and supportive treatment are expected to stabilize Abu’s condition, control his symptoms, and allow timely identification and management of any underlying cause of the acute abdomen. With close monitoring and appropriate treatment, he is expected to improve and gradually resume normal feeding and activities. If left untreated, an acute abdominal condition may progress to worsening pain, dehydration, intestinal complications, severe infection, or other potentially life-threatening deterioration. Timely evaluation and management are therefore essential to prevent serious complications.
