Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Keya Akter is a dedicated 16-year-old tenth-grade student who loves studying and dreams of completing her education to build a better future for her family. She lives with her parents and 10-year-old brother in a rented single room in Geneva Camp, while her father earns approximately USD 74 per month from traditional karchupi embroidery and her mother is a homemaker, leaving the family unable to afford emergency hospital expenses. They learned about Helpster Charity through a medical outreach camp organized in Geneva Camp and sought support when Keya developed high fever and vomiting for four days, followed by severe weakness, lethargy, and black stool. She was diagnosed with dengue shock syndrome complicated by macrophage activation syndrome, requiring urgent medical care. Without timely treatment, her condition could deteriorate rapidly, leading to severe bleeding, circulatory shock, organ dysfunction, and potentially life-threatening complications.
Prognosis
According to the treating doctor, IV fluids, prescribed medications, paracetamol, dexamethasone, and supportive treatment are required to stabilize Keya’s condition and manage dengue shock syndrome with macrophage activation syndrome. Timely treatment can help improve her hydration, circulation, urine output, and overall clinical condition while reducing the risk of further deterioration. If left untreated, the condition may progress rapidly, causing severe circulatory instability, bleeding, worsening systemic inflammation, organ dysfunction, and potentially life-threatening complications. Prompt medical treatment is therefore essential for stabilization and recovery.
