Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Habib is a 9-day-old baby boy and the second male child of his parents. His father is a local businessman, while his mother is a housewife with no source of income. His family is deeply concerned about his health and is seeking medical care to help him recover. Since birth, Habib has been unable to pass stool. He also vomits after attempts to feed and frequently cries due to hunger and discomfort. His persistent inability to pass stool and repeated vomiting have continued to worsen his condition, raising serious concern for his parents. He was brought to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment to identify the cause of his symptoms and provide the care he urgently needs.

Prognosis

The prognosis for jejunoileal atresia is generally excellent when the condition is diagnosed early and surgery is performed promptly. Recovery depends on how much of the intestine is affected, whether there is injury or perforation causing infection in the abdomen, and whether other birth defects, such as heart or kidney problems, are present. Delayed treatment can lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, severe malnutrition, serious infection, and potentially death.
