Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

AL- AQSA HOSPITAL & DIAGNOSTIC CENTREJodrn Road, Barishal, P.O Box. No-8200Hospital contacts
Background

The patient is a 9-month-old girl who lives with her parents in a rented house. Her father is the family’s sole earner, working to support the household on approximately USD 58 per month, while her mother is a homemaker; their limited income makes it difficult to afford basic necessities and medical expenses. The family learned about Helpster Charity’s medical assistance program through a community outreach program conducted by volunteers and requested support for her treatment at Al-Aqsa Hospital & Diagnostic Center. She was admitted with a four-day history of high-grade fever, poor feeding, and occasional convulsions, and was diagnosed with enteric fever with febrile convulsions. Without timely treatment, she could develop severe dehydration, prolonged seizures, or other serious complications that may threaten her life.

Medical history

Sidratul Muntaha, a 9-month-old child, was admitted to Al-Aqsa Hospital & Diagnostic Centre on 11 September 2026 with high-grade fever, cough, and convulsions. Following clinical evaluation, she was diagnosed with Enteric Fever with Febrile Convulsion. As advised by the attending physician, she received supportive medical treatment during her three-day hospital stay. Her condition improved satisfactorily with treatment, and she was discharged on 13 September 2026. The child’s family expressed sincere gratitude to Helpster Charity for its financial assistance, which enabled timely access to medical care. They also extended their heartfelt thanks to the management of Al-Aqsa Hospital & Diagnostic Centre for facilitating the necessary treatment.

Prognosis

With timely hospitalization, intravenous fluids, antibiotics, and supportive care, the 9-month-old child has a better chance of recovering from enteric fever and febrile convulsions. Close monitoring is essential to control the fever, prevent further seizures, and manage complications. Without appropriate treatment, the child may develop severe dehydration, intestinal perforation or bleeding, septic shock, or prolonged seizures that can cause brain injury. These complications can be life-threatening, making prompt medical treatment and continuous monitoring essential.
