Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Imran Hussen is a 10-year-old boy living with his parents and three siblings, Kamran Ahmed, Salman Ahmed, and Habiba Sultana, and is dependent on his family for care and support. His father, Habibur Rahman, 55, is the sole earner and works as a day labourer, earning approximately USD 41 per month, while his mother, Shubina Begum, is a homemaker; with six family members relying on this limited income, they struggle to meet basic needs and cannot afford Imran’s treatment. The family lives in a modest tin-roofed house with a mud floor and learned about Helpster Charity through Tanjila Shahin Ema when Imran required medical assistance. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia with urinary tract infection (UTI) and requires hospital-based treatment, supportive care, and close monitoring. Without timely treatment, the severe pneumonia may worsen, causing increasing respiratory distress and reduced oxygen levels, while the infection may progress and lead to further serious complications.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctors, hospitalization with conservative and supportive therapy, appropriate medications, and proper monitoring is recommended to manage Patient's severe pneumonia with UTI. With timely treatment and close monitoring, his respiratory distress and infection are expected to improve, supporting a safe recovery and return to normal activities. If left untreated, severe pneumonia may worsen, causing dangerously low oxygen levels, respiratory failure, and other serious complications, while the UTI may also progress and affect the kidneys.
