Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
The patient is a nine-year-old boy who lives with his parents, 15-year-old elder brother studying in Grade 9, and 60-year-old grandmother in a five-member family. His father works as a day labourer, earning approximately USD 65–73 per month as the family's main breadwinner, while his mother is a homemaker, making it difficult to cover daily necessities and medical expenses. Previously healthy, the boy suddenly developed frequent watery diarrhoea and abdominal pain, leading his family to seek medical care, where he was diagnosed with acute watery diarrhoea with severe dehydration. With such a limited income supporting five family members, his family cannot afford the necessary hospital treatment without financial assistance. Without timely treatment, severe dehydration may cause dangerous electrolyte imbalances, shock, kidney complications, and potentially life-threatening consequences.
Prognosis
Hospitalization with proper hydration and supportive therapy is expected to restore the patient's fluid and electrolyte balance, improve her weakness and overall condition, and support recovery from acute watery diarrhea. With timely treatment and close monitoring, she is expected to stabilize and gradually return to normal feeding and daily activities. If left untreated, severe dehydration may worsen rapidly, causing electrolyte imbalance, reduced blood circulation, shock, altered consciousness, kidney dysfunction, and other potentially life-threatening complications. Timely treatment is therefore essential to prevent further deterioration and support a safe recovery.
