Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

A 6-year-old girl lives with her parents and 2-year-old sister in a family of four. Her father works as an agricultural day laborer, earning only approximately USD 41 per month, while her mother cares for the children, leaving the family unable to afford the cost of hospital treatment. After five days of fever, cough, and cold followed by two days of breathing difficulty, the child was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and required hospital admission and medical treatment. The family learned about Helpster Charity through volunteer Masud Rana and sought assistance to obtain the care she urgently needs. Without timely treatment, her breathing difficulties may worsen, potentially leading to respiratory failure, sepsis, and other life-threatening complications.

Prognosis

According to the treating doctor’s plan, hospitalization, antibiotic therapy, nebulization, and supportive treatment are necessary to manage the child’s severe pneumonia, relieve respiratory symptoms, and support recovery. With timely and appropriate treatment, the child’s breathing and oxygen levels may improve, reducing the risk of complications. Without treatment, the infection may progress, causing worsening respiratory distress, dangerously low oxygen levels, sepsis, respiratory failure, and potentially death. Close monitoring and prompt medical care are essential to protect the child’s life and support recovery.
