Cynthia is a Grade VI pupil at Primary School. She would like to be a doctor in future. She likes reading and playing netball. Her mother is a housewife; her mother is visually impaired. Her father is a small scale farmer and sells the farm produce to earn a living for himself and the family. They are 4 in the household; they all share a two-roomed house. Cynthia says that it has been hard for them since the rains delayed and so they were unable to get enough harvest. Her father is struggling to feed them and even pay school fees. She is often sent home for school fees. She requests for the assistance of Helpster to be treated. Admission date - 25. May 2023.

Cynthia presented with cough and abdominal pain; after physical examination and laboratory examination, the child was diagnosed to be having amoebiasis and pneumonia. The patient was treated with oral medication and improved. The child herself was very pleased that she got assisted since her guardian was worried that he may not be able to afford the child's treatment. She was happy that she could now resume her studies.

The patient was presented to our facility with cough, high temperature, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, greenish stool, vomiting. She was diagnosed with amoebiasis and pneumonia. If not treated, it can lead to a life threatening dehydration, lung damage, and kidney failure.
