Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Bokoli Sub-County Hospital, Sikata - Kimilili Rd, Bokoli
Background
Shantel is an 8-month-old baby whose mother is a stay-at-home mum and the father is a bus driver. The mother used to work as a casual worker in the local school, but lost her job after she got the baby. They live in a one-roomed house with the leaking roof and mud walls. They barely make ends meet as their father’s job also went low. They share a pit latrine and an unprotected well with other households. Admission date - 6. Jun 2023. Treatment date - 6. Jun 2023.
Medical history
Shantel was brought to the hospital with complaints of cough, fever and diarrhoea. The child was treated and discharged. Mother is forever grateful to Helpster Charity and the people who had helped her through the app; she went back home and told all her neighbours how Helpster Chairty had assisted her in paying for the treatment of her child.
Outcome
The patient was presented to Bokoli Subcounty Hospital with a cough, diarrhoea, hotness of body and poor appetite, and diagnosed with severe pneumonia. If not treated, it can lead to lung damage, dehydration, and kidney failure.
