Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Melvin would like to be a nurse when she grows up. She lives with her mother and likes to help around with some domestic chores. Melvin says that in future, she would like to do all that is within her capability to prevent loss of lives and also help the needy whenever she is in a position to. Melvin had an episode of convulsion this morning and this made her mother drop all that she was doing and rush her to the hospital. Melvin had, in the past few days, complained of headache and abdominal pain. There was associated loose stool and vomiting after oral intake. She was also coughing.
Medical history
While in the ward she was given; IV Ringers , IV Artesunate , IV Ceftriaxone. She was also maintained with PCM ,AL II tabs . Later discharged on multivitamin tablets.
Outcome
The major complications of severe malaria include cerebral malaria, pulmonary edema, acute renal failure, severe anemia, and/or bleeding. Acidosis and hypoglycemia are the most common metabolic complications. Any of these complications can develop rapidly and progress to death within hours or days If left untreated, severe dehydration can be serious and cause fits (seizures), brain damage and death.
