She exhibited general body weakness and sluggishness in her activities. Additionally, Joy had a cough and diarrhea. When brought to the hospital, she was found to be quite dehydrated due to the diarrhea and was admitted for further management. On admission in the ward, Joy was given: IV Artesunate 44mg at 0 hour, 12th hour and 24th hour, to treat the severe malaria which she had been diagnosed with She was also put on antibiotics and paracetamol syrup She was also given PCM syrup 125mg three times a day and AL I tab twice a day for three days. Later discharged on Amoxyclav Syrup 5mls twice a day for 5 days.
