Shihab Hossen H., 11

Shihab is an 11-year-old living with his father and sister. Sadly, his mother passed away because they couldn't afford the cancer treatment. Because of financial constraints, Shihab doesn't attend school. Instead, he spends time playing sports with friends and assisting his father at work. Shihab loves riding bikes and dreams of owning one. His wish is to ride around the village with his sister on the back. Shihab has been committed to working hard from a young age to support his family. By making money, he hopes to help his father and sister get education, clothing, food, and medical care. Shihab experiences intense pain when urinating, which worries his father. His father seeks help from Helpster Charity donors for support.

Shihab was diagnosed with hypospadias and chordee meatal stenosis, a condition where the urinary tract does not lie forward, causing urine to flow improperly. His urethra was thin and hood-like, making surgery the only viable treatment. Under general anesthesia, a skilled team consisting of one pediatric surgeon and two assistant surgeons performed the complex operation, which took 1 hour and 30 minutes. They successfully brought the urethra forward, thickened it, and removed the excess skin that resembled a slight hood. Now, Shihab is recovering well, although he is experiencing some pain. His parents expressed their gratitude, saying, "We cannot thank the doctors and the Helpster donors enough for giving our son a chance at a normal life. Your support has changed our lives." With regular medication, Shihab is on track to return to his normal activities, and his family is filled with hope for the future.

The patient is suffering from abdominal pain, and cannot urinate properly. The patient is diagnosis with hypospadias with chordee meatal stenosis disease. If left untreated, this can lead to urinary tract infections and kidney problems. Shihab needs an urgent surgery.
