Sreymey P., 3

Sreymey is a 3 y.o. girl who stays with her mom. Her mom is a cooker at a cow farm without getting salary. She keeps her kid nearby while cooking and Sreymey usually plays around the cook area. One day, Sreymey couldn't hear her daughter playing, so she went to search for her, and found Sreymey in the pond, drowning. She took the child out of the pond with a pale face and barely breathing. After the accident, the girl had fever, her hands and feet turned blue in color and cold, she was inactive. Sreymey's mother used the traditional methods for treatment, and she brought her daughter to many clinics in the area but they refused to accept Sreymey, as she looked very sick. She had been accepted to Battambang Pediatric Clinic, and was given some IV fluid and drugs. Sreymey's parents cannot cover medical bills.

Sreymey was successfully treated and discharged.

The patient comes with cyanosis, high fever, a lot of secretion. Sreymey was diagnosed with pneumonia, and needs the treatment to recover the body from an accident. If left without treatment, the child's body might not recover the oxygen levels in the blood by itself, which may lead to oxygen deficit in several organs, causing their malfunction and failure. Pneumonia may lead to lung damage and multiple organ failure, if left untreated.
