Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Mahim is a cheerful and curious 6-year-old boy who loves playing with his friends and drawing. He lives with his parents and grandmother in a cramped home, struggling to make ends meet on his father's modest income of 7,000 taka per month as a rickshaw puller. He has been suffering from a hernia problem for the past four years, experiencing persistent pain in his lower abdominal area that has hindered his ability to enjoy childhood. Despite trying different medications, his condition has not improved, and the doctor has advised that he urgently needs surgery to alleviate his symptoms. Unfortunately, Mahim's family cannot afford the necessary treatment due to their dire financial situation. They are reaching out for support from generous donors who can help provide Mahim with the surgery he desperately needs to recover and lead a healthier life.

Medical history

Mahim underwent surgery to address his inguinal hernia, which was essential to alleviate the significant pain, swelling, and fever he was experiencing. The surgery was necessary to prevent serious complications such as strangulation or bowel obstruction, which could have resulted in severe pain and life-threatening issues. Thankfully, the procedure went smoothly and successfully resolved his hernia, leading to a quick reduction in his symptoms. Mahim and his family are incredibly grateful to Helpster Heroes and the hospital staff for their exceptional care and support throughout this process.

Outcome

Mahim is suffering from an inguinal hernia, which is causing him significant pain in his lower abdomen and side, along with swelling and fever. Surgery is essential for his recovery, as there is no chance of improvement without it. If left untreated, Mahim's condition could lead to serious complications such as strangulation or bowel obstruction, resulting in severe pain and potentially life-threatening issues.
