He is a 4-year-old boy the 3rd born in the family of 4 whose parent are very poor. He is joyful and likes playing around with his peers. He has dream to become an Engineer when he grows up. About 1 year ago his mother started noticing that he has difficulties in urinating, she took him to hospital where they told her that he has stone on his bladder. And they can't afford the surgery. About two months ago, he developed a history of oliguria, dysuria, hematuria and lower back, pain subsides after taking some pain killers. Currently, he is in painful distress due to urinary retention however, he was relieved after passing a urinary catheter. After a thorough evaluation, diagnosis of bladder stone with resultant urinary retention was made. His condition requires urgent surgery.

The patient was rushed to UMD Medical Clinic with acute urinary retention and restlessness. After examination and radiological evaluation, a diagnosis of bladder stone was made. The patient underwent successful surgery and was subsequently discharged home.

Treatment of larger bladder stones may require procedures such as lithotripsy (breaking the stones into smaller pieces using sound waves) or surgical removal. Additionally, measures to prevent the recurrence of bladder stones may include dietary changes, increased fluid intake, and addressing underlying conditions that contribute to stone formation.
