Mohammad is a lively 7-month-old boy who lives with his parents and grandparents in a small, poor house. His father, Mohammad Jahid, is a lawyer assistant earning only 10,000 Taka a month, which barely covers their basic needs like food and electricity. Mohammad’s family is very worried because he cannot see clearly, and his vision keeps getting worse every day. The doctors at Mazharul Eye Hospital diagnosed him with cataracts in both eyes and performed the first part of surgery, but he still needs an interocular lens implant to save his sight. The family cannot afford the expensive surgery and is desperate for help. Mohammad Adib was diagnosed with cataract in his right eye, which severely affected his ability to see and required urgent surgical intervention. He underwent cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation under general anesthesia, performed by Dr. Md. Rashedur Rahman Talukder, Senior Consultant of the hospital. The treatment was successful, and his visual acuity has significantly improved. Now, Adib can see clearly through his right eye and is actively responding to his surroundings.
