Background
Faith is a 4-year-old girl who lives with her grandmother in a rural area. Their home is a small two-room house without electricity, and they rely on a nearby stream for drinking water. Despite the challenges, Faith is a cheerful and gentle child. She hasn’t started school yet, but she eagerly waits for the evenings when neighborhood children return from school so she can join them in play. She has been battling with sickle cell disease, diagnosed last year. Faith’s grandmother reports that Faith has had two sickle cell crises in the last six months, with high fevers, joint pain, and difficulty breathing. She has missed routine clinic follow-ups due to lack of fare and no money for drugs or consultation. Faith presented with productive cough, chest pain, fever, and general body malaise.

Outcome
The prognosis is good. Faith was treated and if the condition could have not been treated it could have resulted to death
