Rawal is a 5-year-old boy from a household of five, raised by his grandmother who is their sole caregiver. She relies on small-scale farming as her only source of income, earning roughly KSh 2,000 per month. The family lives in a humble single-room home made of iron sheets and mud walls, with a cow dung floor. Due to financial hardship, they often struggle to afford two meals a day. Despite these challenges, Rawal is a joyful and energetic child who loves attending school. Four days ago, Rawal became ill, but the family didn't have the money for him to seek medical attention. He is known to have sickle cell disease. As his symptoms worsened, his grandmother brought him to the hospital. Upon evaluation and considering the family's background, Helpster Charity stepped in to offer free medical care. Rawal presented with a four-day history of high fever, headache, joint pain, and a persistent cough.

Rawal was treated and given drugs and if the condition could have not been treated it could have resulted organ damage.
