Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Srey, 15y.o., lives in a 2-room house and there are 5 members - her parents, one older brother, and one younger sister. Her mother and her father are poor subsistence rice farmers without the availability of local healthcare. Her older brother is 18 y.o. studying in grade 11 and her younger sister is 7 y.o. study in grade 2. Srey studies in the 9th grade and her favorite subjects are math and science. She would like to be a teacher when she is older. At home, she enjoys reading and reviewing her lessons; her favorite meal is fried noodles and fish. Srey says: I hope my spine will be straight and I won't have any problem in the future.

Medical history

7/27/23 In early July, she had an x-ray at a local clinic, where she was diagnosed with SEVERE JUVENILE SCOLIOSIS. Her posture is severely deviated and she has developed chronic pain. If left untreated, severe scoliosis can involve complications such as digestive issues and, lung impairment. The doctor referred her to our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre. Her surgery - spinal instrumentation with fusion - is scheduled for 31 July 2023. 7/31/23 Spinal surgeon verified that she has a prominent rib hump with rotation and her curve is getting worse. The plan is a SPINAL FUSION WITH INSTRUMENTATION - fuse the T3-T11 thoracic spines with instrumentation.

Outcome

The patient was presented to our facility with Idiopathic Scoliosis. If not treated, it can lead to nerve damage, and even cardiac and pulmonary restriction.
