Joshua stays with his grandmother and the extended family of 8 people at a village. The reason Joshua stays with his grandmother is because his mother works far as a house maid, and she she spends most of the time at work. Joshua likes watching TV, singing and playing. He hasn't begun school yet, but will join school next year. Joshua had been diagnosed with malaria and anemia, he has been treated and discharged on the 27th July.

One week after Joshua received treatment, he came in for a follow-up visit. His mother shared joyfully that Joshua no longer experiences the fatigue he once did. Now, he's able to play and run around the yard with the goats and other children. It's wonderful to note that he's still continuing with his medication, as advised, and will do so for the entire month.

Malaria should be treated promptly because, if left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences. If left untreated, anemia can lead to fatigue, weakness, paleness, shortness of breath, and reduced overall quality of life. In severe cases, untreated anemia can result in complications such as heart problems, impaired cognitive function, and compromised immune response, underscoring the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment to prevent these health issues.
