Tania, a 21-year-old pregnant woman, lives with her husband Yousuf, an auto-rickshaw driver, their four-year-old son Raiyan, and Yousuf's aunt, Sanjida Begum, who is 50 years old and currently unemployed. As Tania approaches the end of her pregnancy, she faces a challenging situation due to her history of a previous Lower Uterine Cesarean Section (LUCS) and ongoing lower abdominal pain, which necessitates another cesarean section for the safety of both her and her unborn child. Unfortunately, Tania's family struggles to make ends meet with a monthly income of only 12,000 to 13,000 Taka. With limited financial resources and no additional support from family members, the cost of the required surgery is beyond their means, leaving Tania in a precarious position as she seeks the care she desperately needs. Despite her resilience, the burden of financial strain weighs heavily on her, highlighting the challenges faced by many families in similar circumstances.

After experiencing reduced fetal movement for one day at over 39 weeks of pregnancy, she arrived at our hospital. An ultrasound revealed oligohydramnios with fetal distress, making vaginal delivery impossible. The patient was admitted on 07 July 2025. An emergency cesarean section was promptly performed the same day, which was successful and resulted in the birth of a healthy male baby. Both the mother and baby remained safe and stable, with no complications following the surgery. The patient was discharged on 10 July 2025 with appropriate medical advice. The patient’s family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Helpster Heroes and the hospital team for their timely and effective care.

The doctor advises that if Tania does not undergo a cesarean section, there is a significant risk of complications, including the possibility of uterine rupture due to her previous C-section, which could endanger both her life and the baby's. Additionally, the ongoing lower abdominal pain may indicate underlying issues that could worsen during labor, leading to severe distress for the fetus. Without timely intervention, Tania could face life-threatening situations, making the cesarean section a critical necessity for their safety.
