Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.

Background

Babagana was feeling fine until five days ago when he got sick with symptoms like fever, headache, no appetite, chills, feeling unwell all over, and lower belly pain. Babagana lives in Nigeria and enjoys playing table tennis and sewing.

Medical history

Babagana got sick on July 22, 2023. He had a fever, was throwing up, had a headache, didn't feel like eating, and felt dizzy for five days. Doctors did some initial tests and found out he had both malaria and enteric fever. He received treatment and was able to go home on July 25, 2023.

Outcome

Malaria should be treated promptly with the use of antimalarial drugs. If left untreated, it can lead to severe complications and even death. It can result in organ failure, severe anemia, neurological issues, and in some cases, prove fatal, making early diagnosis and treatment crucial for preventing these life-threatening consequences.
