Background
A 15 years old orphan was presented with the complaints of localized pain at right lumbar region, lower abdominal pain and dysuria for more than 2 months. The situation exacerbated two hours prior to the admission. Sanusi lives at Pompomari Old Airport and he likes reciting the holy Qur'an. He had been treated and discharged on the 29th of July.
Medical history
Sanusi was brought to the hospital on 27th July, 2023 with the complaints of Localized Right Lumbar pain, dysuria and fever for one week. He was diagnosed of Right Pyelonephritis via Ultrasound scan. The patient was treated and discharged on 29th July, 2023.
Outcome
It is essential to diagnose and treat pyelonephritis promptly, as untreated or severe cases can lead to kidney damage or other complications. Treatment usually involves antibiotics and supportive care to alleviate symptoms and prevent further complications. If left untreated, pyelonephritis may cause kidney damage, sepsis, abscess formation, hypertension, and other complications.
