Praise Mary is a 5-year-old Grade 1 pupil at a local primary school. She aspires to become a doctor in the future and enjoys reading and playing netball. She lives with her single mother, who is a housewife and small-scale farmer. Her mother supports their household of four by selling farm produce. They all live together in a modest two-roomed house. Due to delayed rains, the family had a poor harvest, making it difficult for her mother to provide food and pay school fees. As a result, Praise is often sent home from school for lack of fees. Praise was born with a small swelling on her right arm, which gradually increased in size and became painful, at times affecting her concentration. She underwent excision and dressing at New Elgon View Hospital on 25/05/2025. Since Bokoli Sub-County Hospital is closer to their home, she now visits Bokoli for follow-up and to receive the necessary care as referred by New Elgon View Hospital.

While surgical excision is the primary treatment, incomplete removal or tumor regrowth after surgery can cause issues like scarring, nerve damage, and functional impairment.
