Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Idriss is a calm child who always wants to be with his mother. Idriss presented with 2-day history of cough, runny nose and fever. His parents also reported frequent, loose stools (more than 5 episodes in the last 24hrs) with some signs of dehydration. On presentation at our hospital, he was evaluated and diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Tract Infection and Acute Diarrhea Disease.
Medical history
Idriss was managed in our facility as a case of upper respiratory tract infection with acute diarrhoeal disease. He received parenteral antibiotics and other medications. He was also rehydrated with IV fluids. As the treatment progressed, he responded well as evidenced by resolving of admitting symptoms. He was later discharged home with oral medications following the improvement of his condition to complete his recovery.
Outcome
Both Upper respiratory infection and Acute diarrhoeal diseases are treatable with appropriate antibiotics and fluid replacement coupled with other supplements. patients when treated respond well to the treatment but when left untreated they can lead to severe complications like pleural effusion, acute kidney injury etc and can be life threatening.
