Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Abdullahi is an 11-year-old boy from a family of 5, with poor family background. He is the only male child of the family currently squatting with his parents in one single room in his uncle's house around Abuja sharoton. He is jovial amongst his peers and likes playing with toy. He was apparently well until two months ago, when he developed history of Oliguria, dysuria, hematuria and lower back pain. The pain subsides after he took some pain killer. This morning, he was presented to this facility with urinary retention and was subjected to Radiological examination which revealed indwelling bladder stone. Diagnosis of Acute Urinary Retention secondary to Bladder stone was made awaiting Helpster's approval.

Medical history

Patient was apparently well until 4 months ago he developed oliguria, dysuria and lower abdominal pain.He took the child to another health care facility for treatment but symptoms persist. Upon hearing about helpster heroes through one of the beneficiaries of helpster charity, his child we quickly evaluated for bladder stone via radiological examination and was booked for elective surgery on 26/7/25.Had a successful Cystolithotomy and was discharged on 31/7/ 2025.Patient is now stable and feeling well.

Outcome

Treatment of larger bladder stones may require procedures such as lithotripsy (breaking the stones into smaller pieces using sound waves) or surgical removal. Additionally, measures to prevent the recurrence of bladder stones may include dietary changes, increased fluid intake, and addressing underlying conditions that contribute to stone formation.
