Two-year-old Mohammad Rafsan, a once-happy and cherished baby, is now fighting for his life with severe pneumonia, high fever, and respiratory distress. His loving family, led by his father, Masud Rana, a garment worker earning a meager 7,000 taka a month, and his mother, Rupali Begum, watches helplessly. They have been plunged into despair, unable to afford the critical treatment their son needs to survive. Without immediate medical intervention, Mohammad's future is at risk, and the family's hopes could turn into a tragic loss.

Mohammad, a 2-year-old child, had been battling recurrent respiratory tract infections for the past few months, but this time, his condition took a turn for the worse as he developed severe pneumonia. Despite multiple courses of antibiotics from local pharmacies, his health continued to decline, leaving him lethargic and in a toxic state. In desperate need of emergency hospitalization, he received critical care at Narayanganj Polyclinic, including oxygen therapy, nebulization with sulbutamol, ipratropium bromide, budesonide, and injectable antibiotics, along with hydrocortisone due to the seriousness of his condition. Mohammad was admitted on 15/06/25, received treatment, and was discharged from the hospital on 20/06/25. After receiving the care he needed, Mohammad is doing well and has returned home, bringing joy back to his family. With tears of gratitude in their eyes, his parents said, "Thank you to Helpster Donors and Narayanganj Polyclinic for saving our son's life; we are forever grateful for your support!"

The patient was suffering from severe pneumonia, which posed a life-threatening risk and required immediate treatment. Upon admission, he received emergency care, including intramuscular antibiotics, nebulization, and oxygen support, as intravenous administration was not feasible due to repeated cannula displacement. If left untreated, this condition could have led to serious lung infections, respiratory failure, sepsis, and potentially death; however, I am pleased to report that the patient is now doing well and has returned to his normal daily life, bringing smiles to his parents' faces.
