Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Kaveesha is a 13 y.o. girl who is currently a quite proactive 8th grader regardless of her heart condition. Kaveesha is a playful girl who is keen to study as well as quite the enthusiastic artist. Kaveesha suffers from a congenital heart condition called the coarctation of Aorta. 3 days after birth, her pediatrician realized she was tachypneic, which means he breathed unnaturally fast. The next surgery that Kaveesha needs to correct her heart defect is being constantly postponed during the past few years due to many issues in the public health sector.

Medical history

Child has been assessed for the fitness for her impending surgery by the consultant cardiologist and pediatrician as well as her current health status and the current functionality of her heart. She has been managed inward with anti platelet drugs, Iron supplements and Folic acid tablets to prevent complications that can arise from her complication as well as to prevent worsening of her condition. She is discharged with a month's supply for similar drugs as well as a plan for her surgery (Fontan closure) soon.

Outcome

This patient requires a surgical procedure called Fotan completion with total occlusion of MPA and is registered for surgery dated for May, 2024. A second evaluation of her condition will be assessed by 2D Echocardiogram planned for 29th November 2023. However, as she is schooling she may be exposed to overexertion easily, which is why the sooner we have her Echocardiogram we can provide the treatment she needs faster.
