Kwemoi, a two-year-old boy, lives with his family in a rural village without electricity. The family fetches water from a stream located over 30 minutes away on foot. His father, who works as a security guard at a local day school, earns Ksh 2,500 monthly, which he uses to support the family. Four days ago, Kwemoi began showing signs of illness, including a persistent cough, irritability, high fever, and poor feeding. Due to limited finances, his mother initially sought help from a nearby chemist and bought some medication. However, his condition worsened, prompting her to walk to the nearest health facility, where Kwemoi was diagnosed with severe pneumonia.

Four days ago, Kwemoi began showing signs of illness, including persistent coughing, irritability, high fever, and poor feeding. Due to financial constraints, his mother initially sought care at a nearby chemist and purchased medication. However, his condition did not improve and instead worsened, prompting her to take him to the nearest health facility. Upon assessment at the facility, Kwemoi was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. He was admitted for treatment and received appropriate medical management. Over the course of several days, his condition gradually improved, and he was discharged in a stable state.

Child's condition was treated well and recovered, if the condition could have not been treated could have resulted to;respiratory failure, pleural effusion, empyema, and lung abscesses.
