Why is treatment done earlier than admission?
Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background
Aisha is a peaceful housewife, who's committed to taking care of her family. She has no formal education. Aisha, who's in her puerperium presented with a 3-day history of headache, fever, vomiting and body weakness. She also has loss of appetite and mild cough. On presentation at our hospital, she was evaluated and diagnosed with Severe Malaria in postpartum period.
Medical history
Aisha was admitted in ourfacility and managed as a case of severe malaria in post-partum period at risk of puerperal sepsis. After having her IV antimalarials and Analgesics with other supportive medications, her condition improved as presenting symptoms subsided. She was later discharged home with oral medications tocontinue with follow-up.
Outcome
Severe malaria is curable with injectable anti malaria and other supplementary medications. However, when left untreated or treatment delayed, it is life threatening.
