Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Khadiza Akter, a 20-year-old housewife, is 36 weeks pregnant with her second child, and her previous delivery was via C-section. Her family, led by her husband Ratul Baizid, a rickshaw puller earning only 6,000 Taka per month, struggles to meet their basic needs and cannot afford the urgent C-section she needs due to severe oligohydramnios. She experienced abdominal pain and was diagnosed with dangerously low amniotic fluid, which puts both her and her baby's lives at serious risk. Without immediate surgical intervention, she faces the danger of fetal distress, stillbirth, or uterine rupture, which could be fatal for both. Their financial hardship makes it impossible for them to access the necessary treatment, risking their future and Khadiza’s life.

Medical history

Khadiza Akter was admitted to the hospital on July 05, 2025, with a diagnosis of Oligohydramnois. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Both mother and newborn were discharged on July 09 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child. The family expressed their gratitude to Helpster, Jamuna Clinic, Bablu Abdullah, and Amulla for their treatment and support. Her husband was especially thankful for the financial assistance provided by Helpster.

Outcome

Khadiza Akter, with severe oligohydramnios at 36 weeks of pregnancy and a history of previous C-section, requires an urgent repeat cesarean section to prevent fetal distress, placental insufficiency, and potential uterine rupture. If not performed promptly, she and her baby are at risk of stillbirth, neonatal asphyxia, and life-threatening maternal complications such as uterine rupture or hemorrhage. Delaying the surgery could result in critical health outcomes for both mother and child.
