Hajara's heart swells with a quiet joy each morning as she watches her husband, Musa, head out to their fields. Their life in Gashua, centered around the rhythms of the land, might seem simple to some, but to Hajara, it's a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and deep contentment. A 21-year-old female experiencing a right twisted ovarian cyst during pregnancy presents a serious medical situation that requires immediate attention. This condition is known as ovarian torsion, and it occurs when the ovary (and often the fallopian tube) twists around its vascular pedicle, cutting off its blood supply. On presentation at our hospital, she was evaluated and diagnosed with Right Ovarian Cyst Twist.

Medical history

Hajara was brought to Ayaji and sought medical help after experiencing persistent pelvic pain, bloating, and irregular periods. An ultrasound confirmed the diagnosis of an ovarian cyst. A big thanks to Helpster charity for the support, the patient was admitted for 6days the ovarian cystectomy was successfully performed to surgically remove it, and she was prescribed with some The primary medications *Tab ebuprofen 400mg * Artesunate 120 mg * PCM 300 mg * Vit B Complex * Metronidazole 500 mg * Augmentin 625 * Tab PCM 1g * Cap Doxcyc 100 mg afterward to manage post-operative discomfort. To prevent new cysts from forming,The patient is now recovering well, feeling a significant reduction in pain and bloating, and she was able to return to her normal activities she was advised to use the medication as prescribed and to come back to the hospital for follow up after 5days.the patient give thanks to Helpster charity

Outcome

a twisted ovarian cyst is a serious condition demanding immediate medical attention. While it's an emergency, the prognosis is generally favorable if treated quickly, with the primary goal being to untwist the ovary and preserve its function.
