Anowera Khatun, a 24-year-old housewife, and her family live in deep poverty, with her husband Alongir Hossain earning only 8,000 Taka a month as a sales assistant. She is now 40 weeks pregnant with a post-dated pregnancy and oligohydramnios, which significantly increases the risk of stillbirth, fetal distress, and placental insufficiency. Due to their financial struggles, they cannot afford the urgent cesarean section needed to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. If she does not receive this critical intervention promptly, there is a high chance of fetal demise or severe complications during delivery that could threaten her life as well. Anowera Khatun was admitted to the hospital on June 25, 2025, with a diagnosis of post term pregnancy. On the same day, she had a successful cesarean section and gave birth to a healthy baby. Both mother and newborn were discharged on June 29, 2025, in good health. Her husband came to the hospital to receive her and their child.
