In a loving home filled with laughter and warmth, Little Fatima brightens the lives of those around her. As the second child in her family, she is cherished by her parents and adored by her siblings. This sweet and caring little girl is currently in Primary 2 at Alfana Islamic Academy in Kaduna, where her curiosity and eagerness to learn are nurtured. Fatima's compassionate nature is evident in her desire to care for others. She dreams of becoming a nurse one day, inspired by her natural instinct to help those in need. Whether it's looking after the elderly or playing with her younger friends, Fatima's kindness and empathy shine through in everything she does. 2-year-old Fatima Hamza was brought to the hospital with fever, vomiting, loose stools, and cough. She was previously denied treatment at another hospital due to financial constraints. On presentation at our hospital, she was evaluated and diagnosed with Acute Sepsis and Severe Malaria.

Fatima was diagnosed with acute sepsis and severe malaria and quite critically ill. The child was admitted for 2 days and was placed on IV fluids, IV Ceftriaxone, IV flagyl as well as IM Chloroquine. She became clinically stable, symptoms resolve, and was discharged after 3days. Fatima was given oral ACT as take home medication. The family was grateful for the free treatment and are thankful to Helpster Charity.

Acute sepsis and severe malaria are quite serious and life-threatening medical conditions which can result to death if not treated. The patient is expected to recover with prompt and appropriate treatment. We are optimistic about her full recovery.
