Why is treatment done earlier than admission?

Sometimes, when a case is urgent and vital, hospitals may proceed with delivering medical care right away to save a life, even before the finalization of admission procedures. Usually, when this happens, hospitals put the bill on our credit until the funds are transferred to their accounts.
That's why the chronology can sometimes be in disorder.

Background

Rumana Khatun is a 15-year-old girl studying at a Madrasah, but for the past five months, she has been suffering from severe throat pain and difficulty swallowing due to tonsillitis. Her father, Md Razob Ali, is a day laborer earning only BDT 7,000 a month, and her family struggles to meet their basic needs with no savings for medical expenses. Despite her suffering, they cannot afford the surgery recommended by the doctor to remove her inflamed tonsils. If Rumana doesn't receive urgent treatment, her condition could worsen, leading to recurrent infections, breathing problems, or even life-threatening complications that could prevent her from continuing her education and enjoying a healthy childhood.

Medical history

Rumana Khatun underwent a successful tonsillectomy at Jamuna Clinic on July 17, 2025, after being diagnosed with tonsillitis. The surgery and post-operative care were smooth, and she recovered well without any complications. She was discharged in good health on July 20, 2025. Her family expressed deep gratitude to Helpster and its volunteers for their generous support in making the treatment possible. They also extended heartfelt thanks to the medical team at Jamuna Clinic for their compassionate care and attention throughout her stay. Rumana’s parents shared their sincere appreciation to Helpster for the financial assistance that helped their daughter receive timely and effective treatment.

Outcome

Rumana Khatun has been suffering from chronic tonsillitis for the past five months, which requires prompt surgical removal (tonsillectomy) to prevent further complications. Delaying the surgery could lead to recurrent infections, difficulty breathing, or other serious health issues. Immediate intervention is essential to restore her health and prevent life-threatening conditions.
