Aisha I., 19

Aisha is a twenty years old lady, she is living with parents in the city of Bauchi State. She has finished her secondary education and is planning to further her education. She wishes to be a successful business woman. Aisha has not been feeling well for about a week, she always complains about about abdominal pains, weakness of the body as well as vomiting. Despite taking some medications from the chemist, there's still no positive results, which is why she sought for help at Albishir Clinic under Helpster Charity program for proper evaluation. On presentation at our hospital, Aisha was examined thoroughly and some investigations were done which revealed Malaria, Peptic Ulcer Disease, and Bacterial Conjunctivitis.

Aisha a 19-year-old female presented with complaints of headache, abdominal pain, tiredness, eye discharge, epigastric burning, palpitation and fever. After thorough investigations, she was diagnosed with peptic ulcer disease, bacterial conjunctivitis and enteric fever. Treatment commenced with injection antibiotics and other supportive care, patient became stable, fever stopped, abdominal pain stopped and no more aforementioned symptoms. Patient was discharged respectively. They were asked to return to the hospital for follow up after a week. The family remained grateful to Helpster Charity for their support.

Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD) usually has a good prognosis if treated early with medications. Most people heal well, but untreated cases can lead to bleeding or perforation. Bacterial Conjunctivitis has an excellent prognosis. It clears up quickly with antibiotic eye drops. Rarely, it may cause complications if ignored. Enteric Fever also has a good outcome with early antibiotic treatment. Delayed treatment can lead to serious complications like intestinal damage, but most patients recover fully with proper care.
