Aisha muhammad aji is a 19 year old girl from a poor family in Nguru, Yobe State . Despite financial hardship, she is bright, determined, and full hope. Her hobbies include drawing. Aisha Muhammed aji, a 19-year-old gild from a poor family, fell ill with acute malaria caused by plasmodium falciparum. Her symptoms began with high fever, chills, headache, weakness, and vomiting which lasted for three days before she was taken to general hospital Nguru on 20 June 2025 at the hospital. On presentation at our General Hospital, Aisha was evaluated and diagnosed with Severe Malaria.

Aisha Muhammad Aji, a 19-year-old female, was admitted to General Hospital Nguru, Yobe State on 20th June 2025 with symptoms of acute malaria (Plasmodium falciparum). She presented with high fever, chills, vomiting, and general body weakness. Upon diagnosis, she tested positive for malaria and was promptly started on a 3-day course of Artemether-Lumefantrine (Coartem), along with supportive treatment including paracetamol, IV fluids, and antiemetics. Her condition improved significantly within 48 hours, and a repeat malaria test on Day 3 returned negative. She was discharged in stable condition on 25th June 2025, with no complications. Acute Malaria is a severe form of malaria caused by a parasite plasmodium. The doctor is of the opinion that when treated early and with the appropriate drugs, there can be full recovery with good prognosis.
